Open House Information
Civil Air Patrol's Valkyrie Cadet Squadron is hosting our Summer Open House for individuals interested in aerospace, emergency management, and a military-style cadet experience. We are hosting this on July 30th, 2024, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Wings Over the Rockies Museum in Denver, Colorado.
If you are over the age of 12 and looking for fun ways to advance yourself, Civil Air Patrol has some incredible opportunities to offer including leadership training, aerospace education, flying orientation, STEM education, summer activities, academic & flying scholarships, search and rescue training, and much more!
Civil Air Patrol is one of America's finest youth programs, and trains 25,000 cadets every year. Valkyrie Cadet Squadron has been leading others in the Denver area for 26 years and works across the state teaming up with others to provide Emergency Services training, STEM education, Military orientation, and Aerospace experiences.
Meet our cadets and hear first-hand what it's like to be a cadet member. We have many success stories to share. Our cadets have gone on to attend military academies, receive academic and flight scholarships, become certified drone pilots, solo in our aircraft, and become leaders in their community.
As the official civilian auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, we can provide unique experiences that you can't get anywhere else. We partner with local military facilities and our partners in CAP-USAF to provide training and orientation on military aircraft, potential aerospace careers, and the inner workings of cadet life at military academies.
Parents, we would love to have you ask us questions, we cannot do it without your support. We also have Chaperone memberships available if you want to help your child experience the program.
Teachers, please join us for this event as well. Civil Air Patrol has a robust STEM and Aerospace program that provides you with resources and activities for your classroom. We also have a teacher orientation flight program designed to give you a chance to fly in one of our aircraft.
